- Shopify does not publish exact stock quantities here, so imported products start with stock tracking turned off.
- The public catalogue does not expose customers or orders, and this migration does not request private account access.
- Shipping rates, tax settings, discounts, gift cards, themes, pages, and payment settings are not part of this import.
- Unsupported image formats are reported in the completion notes and can be uploaded manually.
- Every product stays in Draft until you confirm inventory, delivery, tax, images, and storefront copy.

How to move from Shopify to Shopstar
Open your public Shopify storefront and copy its address. In Shopstar, open the catalogue migration tool, choose Shopify, paste the address, and let the preview load. The reader follows Shopify’s public sitemap and catalogue JSON; it never asks for your Shopify password.
Review the source currency and choose the products you want. Shopstar retains public product details, variant options, SKUs, weights, prices, compare-at prices, tags, collection memberships, and supported images. Your Shopstar store must use the same currency before products can be imported.
Imported products remain drafts. Shopify public data does not include stock quantities, customers or orders, shipping, discounts, or private settings, so confirm those details in Shopstar before publishing. Re-importing the same store safely reuses products already created from that source.
