How does Shopstar know it was my referral?
Your link sets a 90-day cookie in the visitor’s browser. The first referral link they use wins, and a referral code typed at signup always applies. Once a store is linked to you, it stays linked for life.
What if they sign up after 90 days?
If the cookie has expired and they do not type your code at signup, that store is not attributed to you.
How long do I earn for?
For as long as the store keeps paying Shopstar. There is no expiry and no cap.
What exactly is 35% of?
Shopstar’s net revenue from that store: its subscription fees and Shopstar’s transaction fee on its sales, after payment-processor costs. Refunds reverse the matching share. The store’s own sales are theirs — you earn from what they pay us.
When and how am I paid?
The Shopstar team pays referrers manually by bank transfer to the account on your referral profile. There is no minimum payout. Your dashboard shows what is unpaid, paid and earned over time.
Can I refer myself or my other store?
No. Signups using your own email or phone number are not paid.
I already sell on Shopstar. Can I be a referrer?
Yes. Open “Refer & earn” at the bottom of your dashboard sidebar to get your link and code.
What about tax?
Referral commission is income. You are responsible for declaring it where you live.
