You control recovery reminders
Recovery emails can send automatically when you enable them under Checkout settings > Recovery. You can pause individual stages, attach a discount code, and still send a one-off message yourself from Orders > Abandoned Carts. See the guide on recovering abandoned carts.
Make them sound like you
Every email above can be customized. Open Store > Email Templates from your sidebar, click Edit on the template you want to change, and adjust the subject and body. Switch between Edit and Preview to see how it will land for desktop and mobile, then click Save when you are happy.
Branding is automatic
Your logo, store name, and brand colors are applied to every customer email — you only need to worry about the words.
Send yourself a test
In the template editor, click Send Test to email the template to yourself with sample data. You can do this without placing a real order — it is the fastest way to read what your customers will see.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to switch these emails on?
Transactional emails such as confirmations, shipping updates, deliveries, and refunds are active by default. Each template has an Active toggle inside the editor. Recovery reminder stages have their own switches under Checkout settings > Recovery, where you can enable or pause automatic sends.
Can I add my own automated email?
Not yet. The built-in emails cover the main moments customers expect to hear from you. We're adding more automated email types over time.
