You can use your public Fresha venue page to build a Shopstar booking catalogue without copying every service by hand. You see a full preview first, choose exactly what to bring across, and review the imported drafts before customers see them.
Before you start
- Your public Fresha venue link — no Fresha password or private account access is needed
- Owner or manager access to your Shopstar dashboard
- A Shopstar store currency that matches the currency shown on your Fresha page if you plan to import services
- A quick check that the services, option prices, team, and opening hours visible on Fresha are current
Match your currencies first
Shopstar will not import services when the Fresha page and your store use different currencies. Change your store currency to match before importing services. You can still import the team, hours, business details, or eligible reviews with Services turned off.
Import your Fresha catalogue
- 1
Open the catalogue migration tool
In your Shopstar dashboard, open Products, click Resources, and choose Migrate booking catalogue.
- 2
Choose Fresha and paste your link
Select Fresha, paste the full public venue link, and click Read my page. Use the venue page customers can browse, not a private appointment, calendar, or account link.
- 3
Read the preview notices
Check the venue, services, options, prices, durations, categories, team, opening hours, photos, and notices. Fresha public pages do not publish every private relationship, so these notices explain any choices you need to review.
- 4
Choose the sections you want
Turn Services, Staff, Opening hours, Business details, and Reviews on or off. Opening hours need Staff. Reviews are off by default and only service-attributed reviews can be imported.
- 5
Choose individual services
Untick services you no longer offer or do not want in Shopstar. If a service has public options, the preview shows how many draft booking products it will create.
- 6
Start the import
Click Import my catalogue and leave the page open while progress is shown. A failed photo does not stop the rest of your catalogue; the completion notes tell you what needs a manual check.
- 7
Review every draft
Open Products and check each imported booking product. Pay special attention to starts-at prices, option titles, duration, assigned resources, availability, payment settings, and cancellation rules before changing the product to Active.
What comes across
- Public services, option names, categories, descriptions, durations, and fixed or free prices
- Starts-at prices as the lowest public price, clearly marked for review on a Draft product
- The full imported team as booking resources, including public names, descriptions, and photos
- Weekly venue opening hours copied to imported team schedules
- Business logo, cover and gallery photos, address, description, website, and public social links when available
- Public reviews that explicitly identify an imported service, when you opt in
Check who can perform each service
Fresha public venue pages do not expose reliable service-to-team assignments. Shopstar therefore makes the full imported team available to imported services. Review the Resources & Availability section on every draft and remove anyone who does not perform that service.
Starts-at prices need your decision
When Fresha shows a service as “from”, Shopstar uses the lowest public amount so the draft has a usable price. It remains a Draft because that amount may depend on length, staff member, or another choice that is not public. Confirm the final selling price before publishing.
What does not come across
- Past or future appointments and customer details
- Private notes, messages, payment records, staff permissions, or account settings
- Retail products, inventory, and packages
- Fresha logins, subscriptions, or payment setup
- Exact service-to-team assignments because they are not reliably available on public venue pages
- Reviews without a clear public service attribution
- Private details or long content that is not available in the public venue page
Importing the same page again
Running the same Fresha page again is safe. Shopstar reuses or skips items it already imported instead of creating duplicates, and the completion screen says when everything was already present. Existing Shopstar items are not silently overwritten, so make changes in Shopstar after the first import or review a fresh preview before adding anything new.
Troubleshooting
- Link not accepted: open the public Fresha venue page, copy its complete address from the browser, and try again.
- Currency warning: change your Shopstar store currency to match, or turn Services off and import the other sections only.
- A service, option, or staff member is missing: check that customers can see it on the public Fresha page, then create a new preview.
- No reviews imported: select Reviews and confirm the public reviews name a service that is also being imported.
- Everyone is assigned to every service: this is the safe starting point when Fresha does not publish the relationship; edit each draft product’s resources before publishing.
- A photo failed: finish the import and upload the photo directly while reviewing the draft.
- Import failed: use Try again after confirming the public page still opens. If it continues, contact Shopstar support with the public link and the time you tried.
Frequently asked questions
Why are all team members attached to a service?
The public Fresha page does not reliably say which team member performs which service. Shopstar starts with the full imported team so nobody is accidentally missing; remove unsuitable resources from each draft before publishing.
What happens to a “from” price?
Shopstar uses the lowest public amount as a starts-at price and keeps the product in Draft. Check the real price rules and adjust it before customers can book.
Can I import only the team and opening hours?
Yes. Turn Services and Business details off, keep Staff and Opening hours on, and start the import. Opening hours cannot be selected without Staff.
Will this move my appointments or customers?
No. This imports public catalogue information only. Existing appointments, customer records, and private data remain in Fresha.
Do I need to share my Fresha login?
No. Never share it. Shopstar uses only the public venue page customers can already visit.
